HELP! after removing the OEM knob...the "neutral" position has...

Default HELP! after removing the OEM ****...the "neutral" position has...
shifted all the way back towards the rear of the car....i can't even shift into 2, 4, or 6th. how do i get the shaft of the shifter back into the center?? is there something that got turned? do i use force and push it back?

the gears like 1, 3, and 5 are shifting....but for example, if i put it into 3rd, it's in the center of the circle where the shaft is...nearly where neutral SHOULD be.....and 2nd, 4th, and 6th are blocked by the frame of the circle.

HELP!

Default the shaft has an elbow in it and when you turn it, it gets off center...
you'll just have to try twisting it back. It should settle into it's "home" position as you twist. It can really get your linkage out of whack, so make sure you get it back before driving.

Default do i try to turn the whole thing (rotate)?
clockwise or counter?

Default actually, if you take the boot off, there's a hole in the shaft...
and a hole in the base that you can line up. It's the same one you put a nail through when you are adjusting the linkage.
