I am sooooooo frustrated with people that say one thing but do another.

I was told that someone "HERE" would take my video tapes and edit them, still I have seen NOTHING, no tapes, no video - NOTHING, and it has been well over 6 months, totally gave this person the benefit of the doubt, and still no contact, I cant get my tapes back and I have seen no video online (I check the forums very often)

Another person told me they would make me a new carbon fiber engine cover. They promised me that I would have it no later than TT-west, as I asked about it well over 2 months before the event. I was ready to pay $500 in advance to getting it done to make sure that it would be done, and I still have not heard back from this person.

Really just very frustrating.

I dont really want to make it public who these silly people are, as I am not that kind of guy usually. I am just kinda sick of people telling me one thing and doing another.

If you want to do something about this so it does not happen to you, get it in writing. Now that will not make it so it wont happen to you, but what it will do is if it does happen to you-you can say that this person signed this document and agreed to these terms and then take it from there, maybe even go get a lawyer and get legal?

Basically, I am just pissed, I want/NEED my carbon fiber engine cover, and I would REALLY like to see these video tapes.

Sad part about the tapes, they are MINE, and I THOUGHT that this person was going to get them on a computer and have them edited so I could share them with everyone.
I had a few tracks and auto-x's but MOST IMPORTANTLY, I had the ENTIRE TAIL OF THE DRAGON as well as other video from TT-east 2005 - I WANT MY VIDEO TAPES BACK ASAP - I will find someone in less than 6 months that can edit these tapes, GUARANTEED!

Just freaking bull**** man, give me my freaking tapes back NOW, and as far as the carbon fiber cover, the guy might just be having some issues getting carbon fiber, but at least email me back like you said you would and not just leave me hanging after sending you 3 emails and no reply - thats when I gave up.

Oh well, I will get a cover somewhere, where there is a will there is a way.

Seems to be long gone. I will not do business with him due to experiences some others have had here (as well as my impressions after meeting him)... Too bad Adam, as it sounds like they were your originals...

 

the pricing is a little higher than expected - I might end up making my own someday?

 

and they were the originals, I have no way to make copies or edit which is why I sent them in the first place

I know he had some personal issues recently which he made mention of on the forum... so maybe he's just taking some time off.

Also, I know he had some drama with the FL Audi Club guys which was somewhat odd since they're so easygoing.... but I don't want to take sides on that.

Don't some others on the forum live near him and/or know him? Maybe they don't want to get involved, but, could be worth a shot.
