Default Needing help from suspension wizards .

Hi all, I just received my KW V1 and are going to install it today. I also have the ECS-Tuning lower adjustable link that I will install at the same time. I got great info from a previous post from TTinCT about his alignment using Quattro Sport setup.

Where I am not too sure is when it comes to rear Camber... Some have 1/2 Kmac with adjustable lower link, some other have Full Kmac, and others are having only adjustable links... I am planning to lower it quite a lot. If I remember, I recalla post from MEEM saying that the back was at the lowest with reversed perches.

Please let me know what you think would be the best solution. I have 4 new shoes for the TT, LM in 19 with Advan Sport, I would like to use all of the rubber tread, not only the inside

Thanks,

EvilTT

Default Not sure what the question is...>>

Use the adjustable arms to get as close to -1.6-1.7 as you can. Apparently you're doing this for looks as lowering that much doesn't do much for handling dynamics. Also You may have trouble getting proper toe which is where a set of Upper Kmacs would help....

Thanks for the info Mr Schwing. Yes, I want to lower it but not to have issues while trying to align the car. So basically, the adjustable arm is taking care of the camber, and thre Kmac is adjusting the toe ?

Without the Kmac, is it possible to still make proper alignment of toe ? what is the limit ?

Thanks,

Default Unfortunately The limit varies...>>

Some toe settings at a severe drop can be brought into spec with the trailing arm slot adjustments. Some cars cannot. That is when you need Kmacs up top......once camber is set with the lower links, both Kmac and links are used to pull the top and bottom in a similar amount to achieve the proper toe...

Kind of a crap shoot if your car can or can't be brought into spec without additional parts..

Default all depends upon how low you want to go...with reversed perches in the rear, there's only

so much you can do...and that's with the 1011 rear coils. from what i understand, there's the revised 8012 rear coils that are approx. 10mm shorter, which would allow more lowering. be advised that even 10mm will result in more than 10mm in height adjustment...the differences in the rear are drastic than the adjustments in the front.

a full K-mac should be fine for what you do.

FYI, i have KW v.3s, with 19" LMs, KW 1011 rear coils, Forge adjustable tie-rods and a half K-mac on top.

Thanks for the info.

I think I will try it with the trailing arm slots and see what we are able to achieve.

Thanks for the info. Are you gonna be present at Tt-East ? I am planning on driving down there maybe for one day. Let me know, it may be a good time for me for BM and VTDA

Default if you want to reverse the perches on the KWs...doing that won't be enough.

you will definitely need some other device to correct camber. you may want to swap the top and the rear OEM tie rods, since one is shorter than the other...and will help getting closer to correcting your camber after dropping the car.

Thanks for the info. I will first look at the coil model... to to install it with the reversed perches and end up too low... I will also order a set of Kmac in order to correct the toe.

Thanks a lot for the info, really helpfull. Hope it will handle great... never drove the car since I bought it
