Default do you remember many yrs, when audi corp. sent us tire gauges and

there was concern for proper inflation of tires. they also stated if you do a lot of highway driving(speeds over 55 mph.) that the tires should be inflated 5 pounds higher than indicated in the gas lid area. so instead of 36 front/33back, 41 front/38 back.

my ? is does anyone really take this advice, when putting air in their tires.

Default Sounded like you were reminiscing there for a moment Eric....LOL

I wouldn't be THAT bothered about the exact measure being put into the tires THAT much....I'm pretty sure these different inflation stations give completely different readings anyway.

I think it's like a set of scales....you need to use the same set at the same time every week if you're gonna give a true representation. ;-)

....and obviously to get a REAL true reading...make sure you put air into cold tires

Default We had Yesterday off, but I think that's for something else.......I'm not too

"up" on what the Bank Holiday's are for....I just like to take the time off ;-D

I read in the paper today that Gordon Brown (our home secretary) is trying to get Britain to have an extra day off in respect of different incidents (such as the London bus bombing we had last year, or certain memorial days for Soldiers and such people). I think it's to kinda copy what you guys do over there to show respect to your people on the 4th July.

Default I run 40 psi front, 37 psi rear for my commute which is mostly highway.>>>

I have run 41 38 too, but I think 40 37 is good enough. for 8" rims and my stiff tires.
