A/C question (Amendment to my post yesterday)

All day yesterday the A/C blew warm. But today during my 1.5 hour commute it sporadically blew cold. I am bringing the car in Thursday for diagnosis but wanted to ask if anyone had an idea of what may be wrong so I won't be walking in blind. If they think it will require alot of work at my expense (I'm on CPO warranty now so they could stick it to me) then I will bring it to my indy mechanic.

If anyone thinks it may be anything other than the fan please let me know.

compressor

Had the same problem in my 2000 180. Ended up being the compressor. Do you have sort of a knocking sound with the A/C on?

Haven't noticed any knocking or rattling.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/62820/p9150021.jpg"></center><p>this what happened to my car's compressor, lost a valve and the rest is history. If this is yoyr issue (i hope not), replace the line filter too (cheap insurance).
