looking to buy
I've been looking at preowned TTs for my wife and have settled on a 225 roadster. She likes the top down option and quattro is a must here in Colorado. Prices locally seem to be running in the $20-24K range for a nice '01 (less for the coupes) with anywhere from 40-60K on the clock. Currently considering a pristine Nimbus/baseball with 60K and transferrable extended warranty (to 100k and 4 years remaining) for $20K and a reasonable offer on her trade. It's a second owner car and has records and is immaculate. Comments? Things to look for? Vehicle is being offered through same broker who handled the last transaction. He says expanding family is reason for sale and he has sold them an SUV.

Sounds good. Not a lot of stuff to look for provided everything is running properly...
MAFs and coilpacks can be small issues.
Do make sure that the Haldex oil/filter have been serviced at 20K intervals and that the timing belt/water pump has been done.

Nice color combo ! Check if Timingbelt has been done
make sure ALL electic on dash work door chime, key in ign etc, all lights on in display . Seems a fair price maybe $1500 off but adjust for area- Good Luck
