Repost For Day Crowd: Attention So Cal TT Peeps! US F1 Party!

Looks like the US Grand Prix will be on July 2nd. Not being a total F1 nut I'm assuming between Speed and CBS (shudder) we'll have some channel to watch it on. Race starts at 11:00 so probably start the viewing around 12 (record
some and fast forward the commercials!) and BBQ! So plan to show up at 11:30.

I'll be BBQ'ing hamburgers and hotdogs (and any vegetarian requests you may want to bring.. chicken.. tofu burgers, etc). Everyone else should bring a supporting dish (salads, chips, dips, desserts, etc). We'll coordinate as it
nears.

Of course we'll follow in Kevin and Marnye's lead and do some sort of game/betting on the race. More to come on that as we get closer.

I've always been at the race but I believe it's been on CBS and tape delayed

I won't be there this year unfortunately. But on the plus side I hope to be Stage 3 about that same time.

I'm gonna look around and see what I can find about coverage..

Indy was live on CBS wasn't it? I'm hoping this will be live since it's in the US and it's at a normal time. We'll see.

Well, here is what I see..

CBS's site says this:
Jul 2, 2006 United States Grand Prix Indianapolis Motor Speedway 1:00 p.m. SPD

And Speed's site says this:

12:30 pm Formula One United States Grand Prix (LIVE) NR

11:00 pm Formula One United States Grand Prix NR

So I am guessing their coverage starts at 12:30pm on that day and replays at 11pm and it looks like it's on Speed, so good for us!

Excellent if it stays that way. Going to miss being there this year. We even got an extra pair

of tickets. Guess I'll have to bring a TV out to the garage.

Wish I was in So Cal since I can't be in Indy but oh well.

Hey Who, I'll let Chrgn (Gary) he lives in Pasadena, M Power This (Nathan) he lives in Culver City,

MCPaudiTT (Paul) he lives in Moorpark, them know about this as well, if that is okay with you ! ! If it is let me know ! ! They are really cool peeps...
