How hard is it to replace the driver's side airbag?

Mine is scratched to hell and I managed to find a brand new one! I haven't gotten it yet but I'm trying to determine what I'm getting myself into. TIA.

not too hard... procedure is in the Bentley manual

or look for meem's post on his steering wheel swap. He had to remove the airbag to do it.

why?

i betcha i can steal a drivers airbag in under a minute ... if the car is already open that is.. ;-)

yeah, i had mine out in about 10 minutes

3 or so torx bolts on the back side of the wheel. and some spade plugs. presto. it's out. didn't explode in my face (i don't think)

2 screws behind the arm of the steering wheel. some are phil, some are Torx-start there
