Just saw a Porsche Cayman on the road...beautiful! I want one....but
the stock exhaust sounds soooo lame.
My stock exhaust sounds louder. My car is a 1.8T which is understandable but this car has V6 right? Why the weak sounding tone?

Is pretty damned good. Most systems for the Boxster/Caymen layout actually cost horsepower. I have the Factory Porsche Sport system...Not a LOT more sound and maybe a few HP. It does snarl nicely at higher RPM's. It's damned expensive and almost impossible to make more horsepower with these engines....Stock is pretty damned good..

the tips on the left are exactly what I saw...but what is that fpr looking thingy on top of the...
exhaust???
The style of the exhaust doesn't look conducive to high flow. You don't think there would be more hp gains with an aftermarket exhaust???

That's actually the factory sport system..>>>
The solenoids open and shut the bypass pipes. In reality, the system is quiet enough that it's kinda silly to set up the solenoids. Most aftermarket systems tested result in LESS Hp, though more noise....

dropped by the car dealer today and looked at it from the outside
as the dealer was basically closed.
Very sweet looking.
I like the lines better in silver. They had a yellow next to it that was nice to.
9.2 cubic foot space of storage, whoohoo.
Now if I only had the cash to get a new daily driver.

Good point about the exhaust. Those guys spend 100's of hours on making good around exhaust system.

I love people how spend thousand on exhaust to get 5 to 10 more horse power. If you a have turbo engine you can open it and let the turbo be your back pressure. Most of the time you'll get 15 to 25 more HP. I'd be happy driving any new Porsche with a stock exhaust system on it. Key work it's a PORSCHE!!! Got love those German's. Here's one of my all time favorite Porsches.
