03 225QC, fuel gauge problem...
On Friday, I get in the car to run errands and the fuel gauge is on 'E' and the miles until empty reads '0' miles. I know at the time there is more than half a tank. I fill up with Chevron and add a bottle of Techron. By the time I get home the fuel gauge still does not work, so I call Audi and setup an appointment to bring it in.
Last night the fuel gauge starting working correctly. I check the fault codes and get a '00771 Fuel Level Sensor - Open/short circuit'. At this point the gauge is working and the nearest Audi dealership is 45 miles one way. Is it worth it to take to the dealership. Will they do anything if it is not 'broken' when I bring it in. Thanks
