Default Question for TTUNED or anyone else who did a custom FMIC.

A friend of mine wants to sell me his brand new spearco core so I thought I'd ask for advice with respect to the price and size. The core he has is 32.5" end to end (including inlets) and he said its rated for 600hp. My concern is that the inlets are NOT center mounted (see pic). Do you think this core is good fit for 225TT? Anything else I need to know about the core before I jump on it?

Default That's overkill for a K04 or GT28. I'd look for something smaller. Other than too much lag...

you might register boost deviation codes wherein the computer is already expecting boost, but it isn't there yet.

Default Well...>

Where are the mounting tabs/points? Can't tell from the photo. What is the thickness and height?

Default Really? It doesn't seem to be much bigger than Forge or APR. TTuned used 30" core

which is just about the same size as the core I'm looking at considering that atleast 3" are used up by both inlets. What is considered to be a proper core size for FMIC on our cars?

Default I'll post back when I find the info. I don't think there are any mounting tabs, but I'm not

worried because we do a lot of welding here so if anything I'll weld some tabs on it.

Default Have you done any logging in terms of pressure drop? Just trying to address the concern

posted by Audiboy. What is the deviation in requested vs. delivered boost and have you had any codes thrown as a result of FMIC?

No specific numbers as of yet but I have not seen any noticeable loss. And no codes to speak of. It's been a clean/effective mod for me.
