Question regarding the 3.2 DSG
So Ive had this engine/transmission for a month now and I finally took it into the dealer for oil and a couple sounds ive been hearing. First sound is a rattle coming behind the dash at idle. They say it is part of the AC motor (even though the AC is off?).
Second sound is a rattle, imagine putting sand in a can and turning it. It comes from the engine between approx 3,500 and 4000 RPMS when you lightly press on the gas. sonds like something is grinding almost at a very high speed...
Dealer said this is normal for this engine (never heard it on my 180)

EighTT, you are gonna have to take a ride with me *you going to pine mtn?
listin to the sound and tell me if you have it. If its only on my engine, then gotta be something wrong, cause it doesnt sound healthy : )

You know what is funny...
I have always taken my Audis to one dealer (Miramar Audi) NEVER had any problems, free loaners and everything... I moved 30 miles north of the dealer, still took it down there (about 7 miles from my office). EVERYONE complains about this dealer's service, says it is the worst in the country blah blah blah. So I get my 3.2 and decide to take it to the dealer that EVERYONE recommends, says they have the best service... and its 5 miles from my house, on my way to work. Drop the car off, pay for my POS loaner...that even has the oil light and maintenance req'd light come on after a mile...
Ill be my car comes back washed too when I asked for it not to be : )
