18" or 19" wheels for 02 tt quattro?
I am looking to upgrade the 17" wheels to 18" (225/40R18) or 19"(235/35R19). Please tell me if there are any cons with 19" and that the 18" will be more reliable. Also do the 19" need spacers or do they fit in without any mods? One last thing, with my silver TT, will chrome rims look good(or cheap) or should I stay with silver rims?
Otherwise, 19's will make the wheel gap more pronounced at stock ride height. 18's will too but to a lesser extent.
And don't be afraid to use the search button for future questions or thoughts on specific wheels. A lot has been discussed before.

Chrome is for Lexus drivers or bling blind drivers, not the Audi TT.
Also, to get wider stance, are spacers a good idea or should I look for lower ET rims (any particular manufacturer)?
Thanks again.

I recommend getting tires from a local and reputable tire shop that can mount and balance on alloy wheels without damage to the rims. That way if you need service you can get a flat fixed and generally get free rotation. I buy my tires from the same shop for about 10 years now for both my car and my wife's car. I have not paid to fix a flat or for 5,000 mile tire rotations in the entire time I have done business with this family-owned shop that is within 3 miles of where I live.
