Default Is the GIAC reflash a good starting point.

I have tuesday off and this "car money" is burning a hole in my pocket.

I was told before I do any upboosting I need to have a nice new DV and a boost gauge.

Those are on their way, should I get the reflash tuesday or start somewhere else. I was thinking about doing suspension but I like the look of the car and Missouri roads blow.

Thought of body mods, but I love how the car looks with the tint, RH C2's and the 3.2 gear on the back.

You guys should guide me. I don't want to tire my car so early in the game, is the chip much of a stress on the stock parts? I just replaced my clutch with the stock sachs kit so that should be okay.

Sheesh, I need some input guys, when I wake up I hope this is loaded with ideas and suggestions.

Thanks again guys.

(PS: Don't worry, I'm getting steves intake in about 3 weeks, so we don't need to suggest that... and the BAMM is a little over my head. I'm more of a plug and play sort of guy)

Default It's a great starting point! and No you don't really need a DV or boost gauge right now

you'll be at 255-260hp & 290 ft/lbs of tq when the flash is done.

Default 2nd that... I got my chip a week after I got my car...

can't imagine driving it without it. You might need to change your DV soon after the chip tho, mine failed a week after I got the chip. You don't really need a boost gauge, but it's a useful tool to see how your car's running tho... especially when it's not running right...

My top 3 important mods are:
1) Chip
2) Suspension
3) Wheels

Default GIAC seems to be an excellent starting point. I agree with the other posts, DV and boost gauge can

wait. The programing of the ECU will put a lot of stress on your Mass Airflow Sensor (we call it the MAF). Depending on how long yours has been in the car, you may want to go ahead and replace it before you upgrade your chip.

Default i did the GIAC chip 2nd...

i started off with suspension. i was more anxious to see what it does in terms of handling charactersistics over power. but the GIAC X came soon after the suspension, hehe. iam now looking into the guages to be able to monitor things. i got flamed here when i mentioned i ran the GIAC 100oct without guages... but i had to try it out at least once.
BTW, spend the extra $100 on the race software. youll love it.
