Anybody here have a good writeup of a clutch job?

and how hard is this...special tools?

I'm not slipping yet, but it grabs about 1" from the top, I'm the third owner @ 56k. Cars an 01 225

your clutch is probably fine...

that's one thing I've always noticed about the TT is the clutch is all at the top. It's also self adjusting, so engaugement point shouldn't change with wear.

well over time ive been noticing changes in where initial grab is. owned it for only 6 months

try bleeding your clutch...

you could also have a failing slace cylinder, which would suck because you have to do the same labor as a clutch replacement. They seem to be a common failure as well.
