Has anybody replaced a T/O bearing?
Hello TT people. I hope all of you are having a good monday.
I have notice some noice when I release the clutch. I've been told is the T/O bearing going bad. have anybody replace this bearing yourself?
I have a 01, 5pd. w/65k.
I would really appreciate any help on this issue.

It is built into the clutch slave cylinder assembly..>
and usually the hydraulics fail. I wouldn't worry about a little noise. The trans has to come out and it's usually accompanied by a complete clutch replacement at your mileage. Not really a DIY job. Inless you have $1500-2000 to play with at the moment I wouldn't worry. You do need to do your timing belt NOW though if you haven't already....

I had replaced the timing belt about 2 weeks ago. It was not that easy. It took me about 6 hours and $350.00 for the kit.

Re: 6 hours is pretty good! Took me around 10 hours, but a LOT of that time was spent
Same here. The new belt was tight and hard to put it on. I did not removed the motor mount all the way, just enough to work around it.
