Default APR Chip Concerns

I've got a 2000 TT with the 1.8T engine and I've purchased the APR chip upgrade with a N75 race valve from ECS. What additional parts should I be concerned with upgrading to handle the extra horses? DV? BOV? Hoses?

Default while the race N75 will produce a higher spike in boost, it also has>>

a tendency to bleed off quickly too...

Hoses will be fine....DV if OEM will go fairly quickly....some have been successful with BOV's, but most go with a good aftermarket DV.

Default DV is at the top of the list. Then pay attention to leaky hoses which might become evident

after extra boost. Boost gauge is also a plus.

Default I have 2000 TT 180hp with APR and >>

upgraded aftermarket DV. Stock original hoses beyond the turbo. Running stock N75 and boost machine. Holding 18-20 PSI boost with no problems.

I've replaced a couple vacuum lines due to wear and breakage from installing mods. That's normally where your problems develop.

Default I never had a N75 race valve . I recall some negative results with them...

After chipping w/ APR I did the ModShack Stage 3 set up as have many others & the results were great. The car runs so much better.Much more nimble & responsive IMO.

Problems with the N75 'Race' and our cars. Go with the stock N75 and ModShack Boost Machine.
