like fiberglass, or aluminum, or cf?.
No kidding - really would consider. Maybe now that Audi's done with the old dies....

how much weight would that really save?

doesn't Riso make CF and Fiberglass fenders?

I dunno - maybe 50 pounds if very lucky; that may be my answer >

as to why, but would help with weight distribution too. First TT's were alum, btw.

so early TTs had aluminum fenders? are you sure?

interesting - guess I need to surf the vendors more >

a bit dissapointing but not a surprise I guess in terms of weight; can't say I'm fond of the exposed fastener either, but does explain the one or two I've seen with vents. I thought they must've bought the vents seperately and installed. And right, that was on the concept roadster, and it had 2 exposed fasteners!
