Default Why proper spacing between cars is important, even in a TT>>>

especially in NJ....Coming off the ramp on the Garden State Parkway to my hotel, and moving along at a decent clip i start to slow down, and notice the brake pedal goes right to the floor but the car slows a bit!!!! CRAP!!!! PUMP PUMP PUMP...closing on car in front quickly, down shift and lightly pull the e-brake so as not to spin...luckily i squeeze between the car and the curb on the right...
PHEW!!! I miss everything.....luckily this happened-
a- close to my hotel
b- in an area where there was some room to go even in rush hour traffic....

Looks like the master cylinder took a powder based on where the leak is...

Note to everyone who is in rush hour traffic...give plenty of space between you and the car in front of you....otherwise luck may not find you...

Now the tow back to CT is a different story....a quick 500$..could have been MUCH worse!

Glad you're in one piece. That flatbed cost sucks though!

Default wow. sucks. you should have had it towed closer, so the towing bill wouldn't kill you.

like to KMD or a nearby dealer. the $500 could have gone to the repair budget.

Default Yeah suck it up... I drove from Bakersfield to San Jose without brakes after a DE at Buttonwillow

Burned up pads in the last session on the fronts. Drove home hearing the metal to metal squeal and used the parking brake and lots of downshifting.

Now I have Brembo's and carry a spare set of pads on track days.

Live and learn.

Glad the TT and, more importantly, YOU, survived to drive another day.
