Default five hours later. finaly detailed.

took me from 1-6ish today to do paint cleaner, polish, wax. Car reflects and has less swirls but still has scratches just sharing my hard work. Also besides the autopia guide anybody have any advice on claying? I started to do so then after the rear right gave up because it didnt seem to be doing much.

Default Claying only removes particles that adhere to the paint. Put a sandwhich bag on

your hand and run it across the paint surface where you clayed and then compare it to the hood. You should feel glass like smoothness vs. a gritty surface.

Unless you have overspray on the car you usually only have to clay the horizontal surfaces like the hood, roof and rear deck.

Default As for your scratches, they need to be buffed out with a Porter-Cable polisher or similar buffer.

There are some waxes that are good for masking swirls like Zaino Z-5.

Default I'm huge Zaino fan. All their stuff rocks, BUT, I think for dark cars, 3M's swirl filler is better.

3M's swirl filler works better than Z-5 on my darker, non-metallic Amulet Red. On the metallic Dolphin Grey A4 the Z-5 is great. Their new Z-PC dual-action stuff is also very good, although it dries white in the stone chips. Not ideal.

Default I buffed my completely out and just use the Z-2 with the ZFX. Once a year

I completely strip the finish, clay it and lay on 2 or 3 coats. Another coat every 2-3 months keeps the gloss up.

Default Yep, that's my routine too.

Though the TT gets a little more TLC than the A4. The thing looks like a drop of blood after a good Zaino. In the sun, the color looks almost fake and impossible it's so deep.
