Brake light warning & fuel gauge 1/4 tank off
I just finished replacing the hazard button assembly to correct my turn signal problem, but still have 2 other problems to solve.
1.) The gas gauge show 1/4 tank when the low fuel warning comes on and in fact is low, 2 gals left. When the tank is full the needle is pegged to the right. Is there something that caused it to be un-calibrated? I didn't unhook the battery or do any maintenance to cause the problem.
2.) The brake light out warning light comes on and buzzes when putting on the brakes. All the brake, tail, turn signal lights or working. It doesn't come on all the time, it may go a couple weeks without doing it then one day it decides to do it every time you stop. Then it might not do it again for a while. I did notice but don't know if it has anything to do with it or is a 3rd problen. When the brake warning light does come on the information display screen, the top section where the warning symbol is and what also shows the radio channel, the radio information isn't lite up properly and the middle and bottom sections are working fine.
I had both of these problems before replacing hazard button, so it wasn't something I did there.
Thanks for any info
I was curious how hard it is to get out for R/R.
Maybe it's time to trade this thing in.
It's past due for timing belt too. So the $$$$ is adding up.
Any used Pintos for sale?

I found a posting on how to remove cluster, another 5 min job the way it looks, once you know how.
I will attach link for others searching for how-to.
It looks like a new one has to have the immobilizer coded before it works, so I have to research how that is done before doing R/R. The cluster repair place on ebay will repair the bad one and send back and wouldn't need to be coded, so they say, sense it is the original to car. Just need a couple weeks without car to send and get it back.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1480742.phtml</a
