today I was driving into Boston for work on the mass pike like I usually do. I went through a toll in the passing lane and about 100 yards ahead were a couple of mass transit trucks with blinking arrows forcing folks to the right. I oblige and move to the middle lane. The pike is now jam packed into 2 lanes. As I pass the trucks I realize they are spraying lines on the road. To be specific - they are spraying the right hand dotted line in the left lane... or the left hand dotted line in the middle lane.
Which translates to - the left side of my car.
I have white paint all over my tires, wheels, front end and drivers side. What the hell are my options?
I have no idea why they didn't do this at night and close 2 lanes so people won't get their cars painted.

Betcha there's a lot of PO'd folks in Boston tonight..>
I'd pursue reimbursement through channels...Get an estimate and send them the bill.....But like Dani said, you can probably handle fairly easily with chemicals and clay.

depends on what kind of paint they used
i got into some that was epoxy based. that was a nightmare, it had chunks of reflective material in it too. i eventually spent about 6 hours removing it all by hand (claybar on a buffer and picking at it with my fingernail)
call the state road, see what kind of paint they were using that day, i'd bet that it's either epoxy or a type of thermoplastic coating they sometimes use. i didn't want paintwork so i did it the hard way, otherwise file a claim with the state, and get it repainted.
if it was not epoxy based, get some langka (langka.com) removes it like a charm!

Andrew, try some lacquer paint thinner. It will remove your wax, but should not hurt the paint.
Wash the car completely when your done. It will clean all of your surfaces, including the wheels and tires.
