New TT Owner
I wanted to stop by and say Hi. i just purchased a 2001 silver TT 225Q yesterday. I am hopefully picking it up today. Once I test drove it all questions were answered. It has all options available including Nav system, which I am not sure how to use. The car has 60k on it and I got the car for 15,900. I think I did OK. I look forward to posting here and enjoying my car. Once I pick it up I will post some pics.

Welcome, and heed ITALSKIER's recommendation. I would hate to see your new budding relationship
spoiled very early on with a complete engine rebuild. This is not a "Chicken Little" warning. There have been quite a few failures on cars right around 60k - even people who had bought timing belt kits but hadn't gotten around to putting them in.

It varies widely from $700 to upwards of $1500 or so. Shop around and try to find a good,
trustworthy, experienced shop. People on this forum can help you find one if we know where you are located. Audi dealer service is notoriously bad and overpriced.

What kind of condition is it in? Where are you located?
Like the others have said, timing belt and water pump must be done immediately. there are writeups to be found if you want to take a stab at it yourself. it can be done for around $250 in parts + a Saturday of your labor.

try either broadway auto clinic or R+D... never EVER go to langan.
i have my car at broadway for first time today.. so can comment on experience tomorrow.. got my timing belt done @ r+d but they are an expensive porsche shop.
