Clutch slave cylinder

Hello every one.
Has anybody experienced felure of the clutch slave cylinder? What are the symtoms?
I would appreciate any info on this issue.

but if the clutch pedal sticks to the floor, you can almost bet that the slave is shot.

Yes, my failed and then leaked into the clutch and pressure plate. $2600 later I was good to go.

Just prior to failure clutch pedal got very soft and then just dropped to the floor.

Mine failed at 40k right after I chipped the car. At first i thought the added power ..

caused the clutch to fail. it turned out to be a leaking slave. The clutch slipped in 4th and 5th gear. It began to slip in 3rd and a little in 2nd.

I replaced the clutch and flywheel with an almost new OEM flywheel and Southbend clutch. Remember to get your flywheel resurfaced.
