Is everyone using the Ross-tech vag??? if not then what???

Vag-check with IPAQ PDA
It is ok for my limited purposes (reading & clearing codes) but I don't think that it can do everything that VAG-Com can do.

even the local dealer techs use Ross-Tech as there is only 1 VAS 5051 in the shop
of course they have to use the 5051 for all warranty work, so they can get paid (it wirelessly transmits the repair data back to the server)

I have the HEX-COM, LOVE it. But it looks like the Key-Com is what I might get now. Looks like they changed their interfaces to have the "key" built into all their cables. I would look at the site I attached here, and see if you need those other "YES" options. If not, I would save the $100 and go Key-USB if I do not have the need for the other options. Personally I would go HEX-USB cause I want to make sure im always covered, and I always try to help out friends with their Audi's and who knows what will end up in my drive way!

Works great for code checking/clearing, reading measuring blocks, changing basic settings and the like. And the form factor is very convenient. But graphing is less convenient--you can watch graphs on screen, but if you want to review them later, you need to save them as data files, sync them to a PC and look at them in Excel or another spreadsheet program.<ul><li><a href="http://www.shadetreesoftware.com/">ProDiag info here</a></li></ul>
