I'm amazed, when you think about it, that it can even do what it does: the foam insulation is subjected to speeds in the atmosphere of well over mach 4, and what about the tiles - just amazing they don't 'fall off' too; beyond speed there's exceptional vibration, and there are struts and braces all over the place to create lots of turbulent eddys...

Beautiful launch too! Reminds me of flying at 6-G's.... I can almost "feel" for those guys/gals.

Default Whew!!!! Now we do a frame by frame for the entire launch thru seperation of the ET
from 6 cameras.

Default If you only knew how true this is. Max atmospheric speed is a little higher than that.
