It's seems like a pretty popular trend around here. After a couple months of consideration, I finally did it. Picked up this 2006 GTI mkv at Commonwealth VW/Audi in Santa Ana, CA. I've always had good experiences at this dealer.

Anways, I had been searching for a Candy White with the package 2 and DSG transmission forever. They are tough to find. Lucky for me, this one also had the navigation system and the 18" wheels and the "monster mats" and trunk liner. It's fully loaded. Nearly every option except for the ground effects kit. I intend on getting that later.

Unfortunately, this means the end of the TT. I have to sell it soon. I am still in shock and have had trouble sleeping the past 2 nights! Crazy! Although this GTI looks great, has way more gadgets, and drives like a champ, it'll never be a TT. The interior design/quality doesn't even come close. The layout, however, is very ergonomic and all the blue lights and the navi screen are great to look at... and having cupholders in the appropriate spot is an added bonus, not to mention, having an armrest!!!

I am loving all the space though and at 6'1", I can easily sit in the back seat. With all this space, excellent powetrain, great brakes, steering, etc, the GTI gets the job done... very well. I am very satisfied so far.

Perhaps I'll have another change of heart in a few years if the Shooting Brake makes it into production, but we'll see. As for now, this car is perfect for what I need and want out of a daily driver.

Congrats! Those look very nice in white. Most cars don't carry that colour well at all.
