Default I think my afterrun cooling pump called it quits, any way to find out for sure? I think I remmeber

it working every time I shut off the car and I could distinctly hear it from the outside. Yesterday I didn't notice any noizes, but when I popped the hood I could hear minor gurgling which could be just coolant/oil settling after engine being shut off. I wonder if there is a good test that I can run (vag or other) on the car to make sure that the pump is working or not.

That's fine, but very simply, if it's not running after you turn the car off, then it's not working.

Default lol I get that :) I'm just worried that it could be running but I'm not hearing it.

The fan is on most of the time after I shut the car off so its hard to tell. I guess I could try starting the car when its cold and shutting it off rightaway, this way the fan will stay off.

Default just went out to the car to check the fuse...very weird ->

Pulled the fuse and it was ok. Put it back in, turned the ignition on/off and now I can hear the pump. Must have been something with the way fuse was sitting in the panel.

Default yep...lots more detail found upon further inspection. I'm now leaning towards

either relay of fan control module. See my post above.

Default What is this exactly????

please excuse my lack of knowledge on this but what exactly should I be hearing? I've got a 2002 180hp QC. I never hear anything after turning my engine off. I think maybe, just maybe once I recall the cooling fans staing on. If turn the car off, wait 10 mins, turn it back on the coolant temp is super high.

Should the fans stay on at all time or is this something unique to 225hp TTs?

Once sorry for my lack of knowledge..and thanks in advance for any advice.

Yeah, it's only on the 225s for coolant pump. The fans are temperature dependant.
