Default What's the easiest, cheapest way for me to be able to check and reset fault codes?

I don't have a VAG-Com and don't need the data logging capabilities. Is there some other product that simply shows the fault code and allows them to be reset?

I should know the answer to this but can't seem to recall.

Thanks

Default Genis Scan GS200 Code reader....>

Like this is really handy. This one is Audi/VW specific and is only $60. A nice supplement to the VAG-COM for quick and simple stuff..I keep it in the car all the time...

Default Autozone

I believe they will check codes for free, although I've never verified this myself.

Default There are a few Palm-based devices, but I think the VAG-COM is the way to go.

It may not be cheap, but it'll save you a lot of cash (and frustration) in the long run.

Default But I don't think they'll clear them....

They also use a generic reader, so specifics are sometimes a bit vague..
