Do I HAVE to wear my seatbelt?
This past weekend I drove a couple hundred miles in my TT :-) Encountered a variety of AMG roadsters and 3-series beamers who were very interested in racing me. I ignored them and kept going 70 mph in the fast lane...
Yes, we are now pushing 39.9K miles! I still can't get used to the idea of wearing sunblock either! So if anyone sees a half-lobster in a black roadster on the 405 freeway, that's me!
PS: For those who posted about my stereo issue, turns out it was just a loose wire and not a fuse blow out becuase of the jump I got :-) Hey, so far I have modded the key switch under my brake pedal!!! (melted some plastic and stuck it on the 3mm part that was worn, brake lights are not staying on anymore when I park downhill!)
hey, who else is a march 01 production year?
Oh PS: I don't get nervous in traffic on hills anymore. Have to change my sig.
Lotsa people killed around here in accidents that would have only resulted in a few bruises had they been wearing their belt. But, Hey, it's a free country. Feel free to be stoopid if you choose!
becareful out there gina.
PS: the tt is very easy to get in gear. take the car out to a deserted parking garage and practice. The car has an "anti-stall" mechanism, where if you put it in 1st and back off the clutch slowly enough, the revs will rise to prevent stalling and keep you moving (creeping) at 4-6mph.
That exercise will allow you to figure out the engagement point, and allow you to figure out the timing -(when you should blip the gas).
The exercise worked for my sister....

PS is it illegal in your state to allow faster moving vehicles to pass you on the right? In CA and Texas (that I know of) even if you are going the speed limit, you should not stay in the left most lane. The signs here read 'Slower Traffic Keep Right' not 'slower that posted speed limit traffic'. So maybe all those cars didn't want to race, they just wanted you out of the passing lane.
