Default Which Ross-Tech VAG-COM do you have?? Shade Tree Software??

Is the HEX-USB+CAN (pro model) worth the extra $100 over the KEY-USB (enthusiast model)??

Anyone prefer the Shade Tree Software using a PDA instead of the Ross-Tech and laptop??

Default Happy using Shade Tree with an old Palm Pilot. Never used VAG-COM with PC but I bet you will

actually use the Palm version more often. I have it in car at all times and it does not slide off seat like a laptop will. Check out the free mounting system......
It's the leather case flap wedged between knee-bar and open ash tray. Pretty easy to log data on the fly without a co-pilot.

using HEX-USB-CAN. worthwhile if you are likely to own later model VAG cars using CANBUS
