bizarre power window problem

my passenger window will only go up with the passenger window switch (and does so 100% of the time). all other operations work correctly from the driver's side (driver window up/down, passenger down), 100% of the time.

i suspected the switch and replaced it, but the problem persists. i have checked all the connections in the driver's side door and they all seem good. vag-com reports no codes.

anyone have any ideas?

so the problem is...the passenger window won't go down using the passenger switch?

or that it won't go up using the driver switch?

I'd check where the wiring from the driver's side ties in to activate the motor

won't go up using the driver's-side passenger switch.

I would also look at the contacts on the 'driver's side - passenger window switch'

make sure that the wiring for the window switch harness/plug is unmolested, and that you are getting good contact w/ the switch.

and like TTagz said, check the wiring (esp in the doors' joints), as they run driver - passanger side.
