RS4 Center Cap Modification for Replicas...>>>
Additionally, it is beneficial to drill tiny holes in two of the plastic tabs that hold the metal ring clip in place and wire the ring clip onto the tabs with fine picture wire or copper wire. And a tip from Hartmann was to put some liquid rubber on the plastic tabs that clip into the center of the wheel. The liquid rubber helps to hold the cap in place.
As additional advice, I always remove my caps before I give the vehicle for free tire rotation at my tire shop. Then I renew the liquid rubber (I use a black liquid rubber insulation in a small can from Ace Hardware 89 cents plus tax) and put the caps back on myself. That way the plastic holder tabs do not get bent or broken.
My Replicas are from The Wheel Exchange. They look great. I have two sets of modified caps. I have never lost a cap, so the second set is in reserve, just in case...;-)

http://www.brianwherry.com/rs4_centercap_mod.html</a
