Noticed one of the CCFL angel eyes not working. Found buldge in transformer.
Seeing that this has happened 2x and each time it was new wiring, then I figure that there must be a short of some type within the CCFL tubes.
I'm an old pro at getting the front end off and the headlights in and out of the oven so I don't mind doing it, I just wish I knew this was the issue for sure.
The 2nd time there were no fuses blown. I just happened to pull up to a store with a mirror front and saw only one angel eye working. Went to check and found the transformer buldged.
HN Concepts is sending me a complete new kit.
I think there is some sort of problem with the CCFL tube. I will then send those parts back to HN concepts.
the enamel on the wire heats, melts, burns, shorts the coil.
heat causes expansion=buldge.
These inverters are cheap.
you might find something equivalent at surplus places.
