k04 020 & 023 difference?

k04 020 & 023 difference?

Is there a difference between the K04 020 and the K04 023? I have an '01 TT 225.

The shop that has my turbo (A-1 Turbo in CA) has been jerkin' me around for 2 weeks. I didn't write down the tag# on my old turbo, so I don't know if I'm supposed to have an 020, 022, or 023. I read a post that said post-2000 TT 225's use the 023, but just want to make sure before I order the turbo elsewhere.

Someone also offered me one, but I'd have to get it rebuilt to feel safe...

Rebuilding costs $350 to $400. The cost for a whole turbo already remanufactured is only $700. (Reman from Audi dealer is $1200.) So, I'd only come out ahead if you sold it to me for $300, but then I'd still have to send it out to get rebuilt.

Yes, you did. Sorry. So, anyone know the difference? 020 and 023? Dealer has no idea.

Cool. So I guess I just need to get the OEM part# from Audi and match it...

against that to make sure mine's a K04-023.
