where I would look, not looking for used, looking for NEW - I think.

Default I think I'd sell what I had and buy a used 225 in good shape before I went that route.
But to each his own. Sooner or later, though, you have to cut your losses and move on.

how about doing two sequential turbos (lets say a k03 and a k04) on the 1.8t?

Unless your block is cracked, rebuild the one you have with stronger internals.

Default Talk to Ali at Wicked Motorsports. Seems to me that they have the 500 HP motor core upgrade ...
I think he said they trade your core motor for a complete rebuilt motor. It is a Del Rio kit they are developing.

Default new motor? the only place you can get one of those would be a dealer... or someone who bought one
from a dealer. Just for kicks, I looked up my engine (ATC) at WorldImpex...

$7073.30 for new

$4021.68 for reman (+$2000 refundable core)

yowch!

Default No - it has not gotten worse, I was just looking into this ..... now I am thinking that ...
I am going to just rebuild the motor I have, but we will see during this winter!
