Default Differences in Rear Tie-Bars

I wanted to post this for others. The stratmosphere's are best designed for the HID sensor mounting bracket. As you can tell the ECS versions the adjusters are in the area where you mount the HID bracket. Forge bars seem to be better as they have some room for the bracket. This is the problem (at least for me at the time). Stratmosphere has been sold out of theirs for awhile and Forge bars are $600.00. which is nearly double the ECS version. I think ECS designed these with the MK4 R32 in mind and not the TT? Who know's why they did it the way they did.

Note: The sensor bracket goes 6" down from the bushing. (Thanks Russ!)

Default Certainly NOT reversable!!! Strat certainly has the best clearance as you said. Seems obvious

ECS didn't do their homework with the placement they chose. I would give them a call and see what they suggest!

I love my ECS bars, but don't have HIDs. They are very easy to reach for adjustment.

Default I just installed the Forge Tie-Bars last week. Great quality...

The ECS ones suck, returned them on my buddies 180 and bought the Forge ones for just that reason.

Default Differences in Rear Tie-Bars

There are some major differences in the bars
The Forge bars are brand new imported from Germany before the modifications are carried out .( this has unfortunately meant a price increase , but we would not compromise our quality on such an important part )
We also use a high tensile plated steel for the adjusters , they are then fitted with powerflex bushes . Some may appear to be the same but on investigation are not what they seem

Default the Strat bars do locate the camber adjuster closer to the wheel

initially this seems good as it does clear the area for the ride height sensor, BUT without removing the wheel it's difficult to access the camber adjuster. This is probably a non-issue if you have drive-on lift, or a pit to work in. If your using floor jacks, the wheel has to come off. Not so with the Forge or ECS bars.
