Popping sound when backing up
I have a 2001 Roadster that for the last year I am only driving once a week or so. It has about 57000 miles on it and is in great condition.
Recently I noticed that as I back up, if I turn while backing up I will hear a popping sound. Also, I will "feel" the pop in the floor of the car. It is coming from the front end.
I am scheduled to have the car looked at by the dealer tomorrow but I am hoping someone out there might have an idea of what this may be (vague description of the problem aside) so that I am a bit more knowledgable when the dealer comes back with their thoughts.
Any help is much appreciated!
Going in for the 55K tomorrow A.M. T-belt, water pump etc... by 65K at the latest, right?
So @ 60K I'll be doing the Haldex service, T-belt service, and the normal oil change....I'll bend over now ;-) Actually, I'm considering buying the "Ultimate 1.8T Timing Belt Kit" from ECS, thoughts??<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?searchstring=timing+belt&sear chqt=byvehicle&make=Audi&model=TT&subm odel=Quattro&engine=225HP">http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?searchstring=
