Default Help!!!!

I just finished installing the TTDA,**** and FPR. I took it out for a run and I think I lost power. Once I get above 5k RPM the car seemed to jerk a little and doesn't seem to want to go any faster. It's like in all gears. Then when I try to push it all it does it Rev higher but my speedo doesn't show much increase in speed. what the heck could be going on?

I have that race N75 Valve and GIAC 91+

Have you tried replacing the Race N75 with a stock N75?

It's also going to take a bit for the ECU to adapt to the improved airflow from the TTDA/****

Default Probably a bad MAF...>>

It has to be operating at 100% to work with a **** (Per the install notes)... Stuttering at higher RPM's is a classic symptom of one that is not putting out the way it should. How many miles/years on it?

BTW, If our reving higher and the car isn't accelerating, you've got a clutch slip problem.

Default Good to know. >>>>>

It is a 2000 with just over 85k miles. The MAF looked really clean and didn't show much wear. As for the clutch slipping, that can't be. I was just in the car last night for a few hours and I've never noticed that feeling before. I only noticed it when I went for a ride after I finished doing the upgrades. As meticulate as I am; I would have noticed the problem before. But I will go ahead give the car some miles and time to adapt and then we will see. If I still have the same problem then I'll start truoble shooting. Lucky for me I still have my stock N75.

Stay tuned.

Default You can't look at a MAF and determine its health..>>

The surface deteriorates microscopically and the output signal degrades...

N75 isn't critical until you add a boost machine (though i do not like the response curve of the "race" N75.)

On the clutch...well...Whenever the engine speeds up and the car doesn't........She be a slippin!

Default Today I reached 50 miles........

of soft driving so I decided to push it a little. Nothing crazy as I sped up in 4th gear and reached about 4k RPM, the same thing happened. RPM's climbed a little but the speedo didn't.As that was happening I felt a surging effect just like before.

Could this all just be the clutch or do you think the MAF is also going bad?
