Paint the TT

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/90736/httptt.jpg"></center><p>Has anyone ever had their TT painted a different color? My red is turning orange at this point and I'm thinking... either repaint the same color or be a little more adventurous and go Audi's gray or black. Or be way crazy and try Porsche speed yellow Thoughts?

unless you do a "frame off" like restoration - it will kill resale value..

even then it is iffy.

Paint it a different color and the value go right to "O"

news flash

resale for these cars is killed free of charge. no repaint needed.

anyone concerned about resale on these cars needs to stop huffing the glue.

It has been done. AxYerCat's is a different black & as I recall there was another done in yellow

As for resale value, whutevah. Our cars don't have any. Not enough to worry about a decent* repaint ruining it. Yeah, you won't get the cost of the respray back out of it, and it will hurt the value for some people, because they may assume it was wrecked. I can't imagine changing the color would be much worse than respraying a few panels. If repainting was that bad for value, Meem's car is worthless. You might talk to him actually, he just did a full repaint on his Amulet coupe.

* By decent I mean thorough...don't just mask it off & repaint it. Maybe that's what ZGTT means by "frame off". You need to make it so that it isn't obvious when you pop the hood or open the door cos that's just tacky.
