Default Help! Installed HR springs / Bilstein sport shocks. Talked to the dealer about alignment....

He says I need to know the specs to have it aligned. Standard specs don't apply due to the lowering. I took measurements before I lowered it but not since. I am guessing it dropped between an inch and an inch and a quarter.
Is there a specification standard as far as lowering is concerned?
This all sounded a bit strange to me.

I also have purchased rear camber adjustment bushings. Should I install these or have the dealer do it. I plan on doing it before I take it to them.

Default the specs that the dealer was thinking about is probably that thing>>>>

that doesn't allow for rear camber adjustment. It should be the same specs for a non lowered TT. He'll just have to adjust the camber using your supplied bushings.

Default Most folks aim to get it back to near factory specs but

you'll need some extra camber adjustment either adjustable arms or kmacs to get it back in spec.

Default I discussed rear camber adjustment with him and told him that I would be installing

adjustable camber bushings. He still insisted that I needed alignment specs.

Default Just to satisfy my own curiosity, What is the difference between "sport" setting and stock setting?

What is it that changes that would require different geometry?

Default IIRC the sport setting basically allows for more camber

mainly because the sport suspension is slightly lower than stock and does not include any additional camber correction. So, rather than fix the problem Audi just widens the spec so that the camber that the sport suspension causes is now considered in spec.

Default yep...here they are...>>>

This sets the car up nicely. My setup is the classic Bilstein/Eibach suspension...

Default By more camber do you mean negative camber? Hmmm... Does that mean:

that with the use of adj. camber bushing I should be able to get back to the original spec and therefore should?
