B5 guy drives a TT for 1st time today
and holy **** did i love this thing.
it just wraps around you
The interior is gorgeous/sporty and there is more room than i thought
I believe this one was maybe chipped, i drove it at a dealer auction, it had a samco hose, and obviously no BT, since i looked back there and no FM.
It was so damn quick. Boost came on strong and hard at about 2900 rpm 1st gear and pulled impressively.
There was however a problem w/ the suspension, i believe the tie rod ends were shot to hell because a loud clunking sound would come from the right front wheel and it would squeak, i do not believe the suspension was modified, since the TT's are pretty low to start out.
I really did enjoy this car , the rear of the car is gorgeous and when i was backing her up it just felt so much better to back up the TT than the A4 cause u turn around and thers nothin behind you but the glass!
I plan to maybe get one next year.
So the main concern is if K04's were put in the 01's and above (225 hp version)and im guesing not in the 00's and i already know the maintenance, timing belt , pumps, etc. typical audi.
are the clutches considered tight, in comparison the an A4? cause this clutch mighta been upgraded
But from being an ex TT hater,
, (TT = Sporty beetle :P ), to loving the car, i am very impresed and was wondering if any ex B5 K04 guys think that the TT's are worth coming over to. Thanks -Rosati
