Idiotic question about MAF but...
ok, how do I know my MAF failed or is failing...
2002 TT 1.8t, 65000 miles...I have not have many problems w/ the engine...but I'm asking b/c maybe I just haven't noticed it.
You want to impress your SUV-driving neighbors, and perform those important preventative measures, but you just don't know where to start.
It's easy then to assume "It's the MAF!, Yes, I can diagnose!"
Not meant to insult you here, but....
Seriously, get the VAG-COM S/W and monitor the appriopriate blocks, and you'll be fine.
The car will tell you if the MAF goes bad.
Failing a check engine light that is.
