Brake noise update >
I called Wilwood today (after pulling their pads, making a template, and trying to get Ferodos for my forged 4-piston "Superlites" to no avail: not made in "bridge-bolt' style) and was told the grinding noise (which really makes it sound like the wheels are about to fall off) at slow stopping is common for their "Q" pad (ceramic compound). They've come out with another pad lately called a "Smart Pad" (mmm...)semi-metallic, that should do the trick - I've ordered & should be here in a few days. Tires caused mine to sound like they were grinding (Ferodo 2500's)....Became so painful I didn't want to stop (not a good idea in certain circumstances).

I don't think the 'bearing" noise I heard yesterday is related >
but I didn't hear it on my way to work this morning; since these brakes dont have shields, it's not impossible someting just got kicked up into them somehow - it was a knocking/shudder; fingers crossed - we'll see; thx. :-|

It's amazing how tire noise..>>
Can be easily mistaken for bearings, brakes etc... One of the reasons I removed the Ground Control plates. No rubber transmitted all that noise and feel right to the structure...

I still have a hard time accepting that it's tires; easier to believe it's pads >
PS2's come on a boatload of 'not-inexpensive' cars as oem, and there's no way a host of those purchasers would put up with what I hear.
