This has been around for a little while now

Problem is that you really can't take it on any serious drives- unless you know a place to charge it up

I saw the only one of these that's in the wild last weekend...

driving on El Camino (NorCal). We both slowed for a light, which turned green when we were both going about 10mph... he gave it a little juice and was back at 45 in a blink. Not sure I'd want a practically silent car though, not to mention 1000lbs of Li-ion batteries ready to explode in a crash.

Just transfer it to the powerplants so you don't see the tailpipe haze hanging over your neighborhood......Unless the powerplants are IN your neighborhood like LA...Doh!

I like this car . . . .

it's enough to make me want to put solar panels on the roof. My house gets mega sunlight. When I go to the office twice a week, it's about 60 miles. Most of my weekend pleasure cruises are 50-150 miles, so that's no problem. Hey how's this - put a hydrogen tank in the house, and run a fuel cell there to charge the car. Much better than driving around like a Hindenberg. O'course it's all kinda moot anyway, since it's out of my budget range for now. Still, a great idea.
