Default I've been Dealing with what was suspected to be a faulty MAF.....

I've been rollin around for awhile on a motor that wouldn't hold 22-23lbs of boost for more then 2 seconds before dropping and holding at about 10lbs for the remainder of the throttle. I also had a coolant temp sensor problem. So i ordered 2 new temp sensors, and clips (cuz they're cheap) and a new MAF from ECS tuning. I replace the Temp sensor and the dropping temp gauge seems to have disappeared.

I removed the OLD MAF and to my suprise I noticed something missing....

Yes the Resistor is missing from the MAF. I'm guessing that was the reason it stopped working???

Default As I recall that resistor(thermistor)maynot be necessary in the TT.

Nope - they're not present in the TT version. It's a universal mold.

Default Nope not throwing any codes but....

I tried the new one this morning to see if it would start finally holding some boost and it looked pretty good on a full 3rd gear acceleration but dropped during 4th gear into the low teens.... So as of right now the new MAF has not solved my falling boost problem. I've only made one full throttle pass on the way to work so hopefully I have a couple oppurtunities to drop the hammer later after work. I'll see how it goes...

If my boost keeps falling and I changed the MAF and Coolant Temp Sensor, what else could be causing my boost to fall on it's face without ever throwing any codes?

Default Nope, not necessary. I have a pic just like that with a VW MAF next to a TT MAF.

Default most likely, a leak somewhere...possibly a hose leak.

check all connections and hoses...or better yet, do a pressure test.

Look at the vac hose on top of the DV. that's usually where the leak is.
