Default wheel spacers

Quick general question...
are all wheel spacers universal?
I need a 5x100 pair for my rear wheels to clear the calipers... they stick up so much more than the front.
Will 25mm spacers make my tires rub if they are 265s (19x9.5)?

Default spacers have an inner diameter that is specific to the VW/Audi hub...

so you need the right ones. I think it's 57.1MM?

What offset wheels are you running w/ the 19x9.5's? I had 19x9.5 ET30 wheels, and I >think< I ran a 15MM (maybe 13MM) spacer on it to get flush w/ the fender. 20MM poked too much and I rubbed (also because my car was really low).

I have to double check on the offset...
But do both VW and Audi share the same inner diameter? I assumed perhaps the TT would be different from other Audi's with it's 5x100 pattern.

Default nope.. same inside diameter for all VW's and Audi's..

not sure about the newest like '06 VW's, but the rest are all the same... and most H&R spacers are dual pattern 5x100/5x112 and are useable on all VW/Audi's...

i'm currently running 8MM spacers on the A6, I got from a guy with an S4, that I used to use on the TT =o)

Great, thanks for the help. Hopefully I can post pics of my ride when this is all figured out. Cheers.

Default as long as the brake calipers clear by say... 5mm it should fine right?

Is it correct to assume there wouldn't be any reason for that distance to change slightly with body movement etc?

Default could be less...but would make sure you have the proper wheels so that in case

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/23258/lmclose.jpg"></center><p>you do bend one out of round, it will hold up and not get caught up with the brake calipers.
