If I was to wrap my intercooler OEM rubber piping>>>>

would this keep the air cooler during the flow? what would u wrap it with if so

No!....>>

An intercooler is a heat sink. It needs to be able to dissipate heat. Wrapping it would sorta defeat that purpose. It's not just airflow, but Mass that is used to expel heat.

If you are talking post intercooler, then maybe yes.........

The whole intent of the intercooler is to help the air give up its heat content. Heat always travels from hot to cold. Consequently, if the air outside of the intercooler piping is hotter than the air in the pipe, then heat will travel into the pipe and insulation could help. If the air outside of the pipe is cooler than in the pipe, then the heat will flow slowly from the pipe to the surrounding air.

I was referring to the piping after the intercooler to the intake man.

So not a good idea

As the IC out temps are still generally hotter than ambient. As John pointed out above there will still be some heat dissipation between the IC and the manifold. This graph without manifold insulators, with FMIC.
