Default would rear camber arms be an easier install then a full set of Kmacs??...>>

I just pulled up behind my TT and I just noticed how horrible the camber was after the KW install. Didn't look bad up close but coming up on it from a distance, it looks bad.
Which kinda pisses me off cause when I dropped the car off at KMD, I specifically listed on paper to install rear camber adjusters only if needed after the KW's are installed and no adjusters were installed as I was told that it wasn't needed since the TT always had a positive camber.

So here is my alignment sheet from when I got the car back.

Rear Camber:

Initial: Left -3.0 / Right -2.4

Spec Min: -1.8 / Spec Max: -1.2

Final: Left -3.1 / Right -2.4

-------------------------------

Toe:

Total: 1.15 / Left 0.40 / Right 0.75

Spec Min: 0.08 / Spec Max: 0.42

Final: Total 1.50 / Left 0.75 / Right 0.75

Default If you want to fix that toe..(and camber)...>

A full Kmac is what you need. Often Stock toe adjustment at the trailing arm mounting plates will not allow enough to get it in spec. Camber arms do not allow for any individual toe adjustment.

How to now in the FAQ..

Default KMD doesn't have the facilities to do any alignments...they usually drive the car over to

EuroTire in Fairfield to get it done.

i just got mine done on Friday...was in and out in an hour. about $105, although you can get it for less at the TireBarn ... mike (liTTespeed) got an AWD alignment for $50-70. they have specials as well.

the barn

Default What does the full KMAC set allow that the half does not...

It appears that many run the 1/2 KMAC. Looking at ttstuff, the only explanation is double the bushings. Not knowing anything about alignment (but planning on lowering in the future), what do the bushing do, and do I really need a full set to correct the alignment? If it makes a difference, I'm not going extreme. Considering the Eibach springs with Bilstein struts.

Default yes, I am aware they dont have a alignment rack, they sent mine to a shop

and thats the results I posted. But when you specify repairs to be done that are listed on paper, you expect it to be done regardless of advice given that the TT always had that negative camber look to the rears. Great guys to deal with but come on now. I would still have them do work on my car but do what I want done if I list it on paper and that goes for any shop out there. I am the one that pays the bill at the end.

Default 1/2 set only goes in one of the two arms. A full set goes in both arms. Many with a 1/2 set also

run adjustable tie bars on the second arm (like I do). With adjustability on BOTH arms, you can tune both camber and toe - adjusting either arm affects both settings. If you only have one arm adjustable, you don't have a way to correct toe when you get camber in line.

Default Ahh... So which is better...

a full KMAC set or 1/2 KMAC with Adjustable Tie bars? Or is it 6 of one half a dozen of the other?

Default true. they should know better...and besides, quite a few TTers take their cars there.

they have to be aware of it. i'm surprised how bad the numbers are and what the outcome was.
