Rear brake pistong seized?

I can't get my passenger side brake piston to compress, the pads were all worn and ate a grove in the rotor, the piston is out an inch or more. No problems with the driver side, pad and rotor look good and I was able to compress the piston without any problems. Is the passenger side piston seized? Would this be covered under Audi CPO? Thanks.

I assume you're rotating the piston ..>>

As you try to compress it? This is why the special tools come in handy. If you run the pads down to nothing, the retraction process can be difficult..

Yup I broke the one I had and tried another from Autozone, the piston won't move at all.
